“Bring a chair,” Remus says, stalling for time. He needs his thinking mind to catch up to what his instinct has told him must now happen.
Sirius turns with an agility Remus has not yet seen, and picks up the wooden stool in the kitchen. He places it in the center of the sitting room, between Remus and the daybed. Remus squares his shoulders. Can he do this? His body still aches from transformation and his nerves are shredded. The hollow thinking space he’s made inside himself is full of fractures; he can barely hold back his need for closeness, for tenderness; the effort of trying is threatening to overwhelm him with exhaustion. He is in no condition to do what Sirius is asking.
But he will. He knows he will because he has already started.
“Take off those clothes,” he commands.Prompt

11th Annual Remus/Sirius Small Gifts Exchange -- Coming Soon!
“Sirius, what are you doing?” Remus stands in the front room, arms crossed. He watches Sirius stare at the window, face close enough that he must feel the chill of the glass on his nose.
“Waiting,” says Sirius without turning around.
“Well, that clears things up nicely.”
Sirius cocks his head, presumably to get a better angle to watch for…whatever it is. Remus doesn’t know whether to abandon him for a nice cup of tea or scratch him behind the ears.
“Here we are,” Sirius exclaims at the sound of frantic fluttering.
A very small owl lands on the window sill, although “land” might be a generous term for the nearly head-over-heels tumble. “That owl doesn’t look like it could carry much of anything, much less something worth pressing your nose to the window for all afternoon.”
Sirius turns, a ridiculous grin on his face. “It’s perfect, Moony!” Sirius says, jumping up to open the window. “Just what's wanted. They are, after all, small gifts.”
"In that case," says Remus, feeling a matching grin spread on his face. "Let the poor wee thing in."
RS_Games Day 8 - Fics!
: A Past Tense of DrownedRating:
Descriptions of drowning, blood, gore, descriptions of food and eatingWord Count:
Sirius, six weeks dead, was standing on Remus’ doorstep. He was barefoot, in Muggle clothes, and drenched from his tangle of black hair to the soles of his muddy feet. He was terribly alive, and painfully young. Remus walked forward, drinking in the sight of him. He was pale and wide-eyed, and he looked to be no older than sixteen. “Sirius,” he said, just a whisper.Prompt:
